Why Your Support Matters
KIRC is a 170(c)(1) government entity authorized, as noted in IRS Publication 557, to receive tax-deductible contributions to programs that exclusively serve a public purpose. The mandate and programs of KIRC have been determined to serve a public purpose, and every donation—large or small—helps sustain restoration and conservation efforts for Kahoʻolawe.
If you have been impacted by Kahoʻolawe as a volunteer, friend, teacher, student, researcher, or interested community or family member, we hope you will join the campaign to Aloha Kahoʻolawe. With your support, Kahoʻolawe’s restoration, protection, preservation, and access can continue for generations to come.

Aloha Kahoʻolawe is a campaign to continue restoration of and access to Kahoʻolawe. It invites participation through donations, memberships, partnerships, and legislative support. By building consensus around the historical, cultural, ecological, and community value of the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve, the campaign aims to demonstrate the need for greater investment by the State. Your support contributes directly to the sustainability of KIRC programs dedicated to the rebirth, restoration, and flourishing of Kanaloa Kahoʻolawe and its surrounding waters.
