STRATEGIC PLAN: 2026

  • I OLA KANALOA
  • The year 2026 commemorates 50 years since the Native Hawaiians and the people of Hawaiʻi fought for the return of Kahoʻolawe. In preparation for this milestone anniversary, the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission (KIRC), the Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana and other stewardship organizations will create a strategic plan for the stewardship of Kahoʻolawe island mapping out specific goals and objectives to be met from 2014 - 2026.

Your input is extremely valuable to us.

To date, more than a dozen focus group sessions have been hosted by various stewardship organizations of the "Kahoʻolawe: 2026" Working Group, attended by 200+ community members.
